  • Description : Bigrou offers tangy and sweet fruits, less fragrant than other blackcurrants (but still very good) and is one of the best varieties for gemmotherapy (use of the buds).

  • Exposure : Non-burning sun to partial shade.
  • Soil : All soils, not too chalky.
  • Harvest period : July
  • Hardiness : Up to -20°C.
  • Adult size : Up to 1.5m high and 1m wide
  • Pollination : Self-fertile
