- Description : Delicious sweet-tart fruit with a good flavor. The fruits are larger than those of the blackcurrant or gooseberry, turning from green to a translucent pinkish-red when ripe. A thorny shrub with excellent fruit. "Poorman" is the tastiest of the gooseberries!
